Lowick Green is in the Lake District National Park, close to Coniston Water and just 20 miles from Junction 36 on the M6

Lowick Green is a small hamlet 7 miles north of the market town of Ulverston and 3 miles south of Coniston Water. There are 3 pubs serving meals within a mile or so, there are good local village shops at Greenodd 2 miles down the road, while Ulverston itself has a larger selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets.

Outdoor activities for all tastes are catered for throughout the district. We have easy access to the fells and crags, while mountain bikes, horses, canoes, rowing boats, dinghies and windsurfers are all available for hire in the vicinity

Our disabled guests have never lacked things to do and see. Most of the attractions throughout the region have appropriate access facilities. Grizedale forest for example, with its famous sculpture trail is only about six miles off, and has a specially designed trail for disabled visitors.

Car users will find all of the Lakes famous beauty spots within easy reach. Windermere’s steamers are 10 minutes drive. Barrow with its shipbuilding heritage is 20 minutes away. The ancient market town of Kendal is a 40 minute run, and Lancaster, the former county town of Furness, can be reached in under an hour.
